Chinese New Year 2016 - The Year of The Monkey
Balloon Decor - Naples, Florida
So Chinese New Year's date changes each year determined by the Chinese Lunar Calendar. This year it happened to fall on Monday, February 8th, the weekend of the Superbowl. However for a holiday that's celebrated by 1/5 of the world's population, the show goes on!
We were asked to bring our balloon decor to a home in Naples, Florida to celebrate Chinese New Year. The idea was simple, and yet elegant balloon decor and with tall ceilings, hanging balloon decor was out. However, we made over 15 balloon cloud clusters with ribbon in the New Year colors of Red and Gold and attached them to various places around the house.
Initially we were going to go with an arch in the entryway, and although we've made hundreds of great balloon arches across Naples, we wanted to do something different. So instead we made massive 8 1/2 foot balloon spiral columns with firework sprays on top that point towards the center to make an extremely impressive and unique entryway. As this Chinese New Year brings in the Year of the Monkey, well, we had to attach the little guy to some balloon centerpieces around the event.
